Miss afro diaspora finland is a beauty pageant aimed at showcasing the enviable black beauty in finland.
The goal of the beauty pageant is to provide young black ladies and those of colour who hail from any part of the world, who were born or live in finland with a platform to showcase their beauty, culture, talents, and creativity. To encourage them to be more confident, and goal-oriented.
The beauty pageant is committed to changing the prejudice and erroneous stereotypes about blacks, the change is happenings and it’s evident.
The miss afro diaspora finland is the third biggest beauty contest in finland after miss finland and miss helsinki.
History was made in finland when 27-year-old aja daffeh from the gambia was crowned the winner during the grand final night that took place on 21st november 2020. Monica tor from south sudan was the first runner-up while clemence habiyakare emerged as the second runner-up.
